My career in stitching began with doll clothes, embroidering tea towels and cross stitching.
This interest continued into machine stitching and the production of my own clothes.
It wasn’t until I went back to college that I took the possibilities of fiber and fabric seriously.
I received a degree in art with an emphasis in textile design.
I was asked to participate in the Element Project and thought it would be a good way to rework some old quilts that didn’t quite work. I am very happy with the out come and was able to upcycle materials that I already had. I also learned some interesting facts about the elements that I didn’t know about.
